UV DTF Transfers for Hard Surfaces

Full-colour prints with a raised gloss finish that you apply by hand to glass, metal, plastic and ceramics. No heat press, no sticker border. Checked by our team before it goes to print.

What UV DTF is

UV DTF prints your designs with white ink, colour and a clear gloss varnish, sealed between an adhesive layer and a clear transfer film. You press the design onto the item and peel the film away, leaving just the print behind, with no backing or border around it.

Works on

Clean, dry, smooth hard surfaces: glass tumblers and jars, stainless steel bottles, ceramics, plastic cases and packaging, coated wood, notebooks and signage. It isn't for clothing or other fabrics; use our standard DTF gang sheet for those. Ask us before ordering for items that will go in a dishwasher or live outdoors.

Applying it

Cut out a design, peel off the backing paper, place the design on the item and rub it down firmly with a squeegee or your thumb. Then slowly peel the clear film away at a low angle. Read the application FAQs before using your transfers.

Artwork, the short version

For a finished sheet, use a PNG with a transparent background, or a single-page PDF, on a 560 x 1000mm canvas at 300 dpi. Don't mirror it: UV DTF is applied face up. Keep text at least 5mm tall and lines at least 0.018 inches (about 0.46mm), as very fine detail can lift when the film is peeled, and leave 5mm between designs. More in our artwork guide.

Single-page PDF or transparent PNG, 560 x 1000mm at 300dpi (6614 x 11811 pixels). Minimum 150dpi at print size (3307 x 5906 pixels): below that it prints soft, and we'll contact you before printing, which delays your order. Files up to 100MB. We print exactly what you send; our team checks every file before it goes to print. Export in RGB (sRGB if offered), with line and letter strokes at least 0.018 inches (about 0.46mm).

Finished-file uploads go straight to payment, without a design preview.
