How to build a gang sheet

Set up the canvas

Create a document at exactly 540 x 1000mm, 300dpi, transparent background. In Canva use custom size in millimetres; in Photoshop set 300 pixels/inch; in Illustrator work in millimetres and export a single-page PDF. Free templates for all three are coming to this site; until then those numbers are all you need.

Size each design for its destination

Left chest: 80 to 100mm wide. Full front: 250 to 280mm. Sleeve: 60 to 80mm. Cap front: 100 to 120mm wide by up to 55mm tall. Baby and kids' garments: scale down, 150 to 180mm for a child's full front. When in doubt, cut a paper rectangle at your intended size and hold it against a garment; thirty seconds of that beats an evening of regret.

Pack the sheet

Leave 5mm minimum between designs and around the edges. Rotate designs to fill gaps; the press doesn't care which way up they were printed. Mix sizes: big designs first, then flood the gaps with left-chest logos and sleeve prints. Repeated logos are fine and normal; forty copies of one design is a perfectly good gang sheet.

Zoom to 100% and proofread every design; we print what you send, typos included. Check nothing white is sitting on an invisible white background. Confirm the file is one page, 540 x 1000mm, 300dpi, transparent. Then upload it on the product page, and it goes straight to the queue.
