# What is DTF printing?

Direct-to-film: design printed in colour onto film, white ink layer behind it, powdered adhesive
melted on, cured; pressed onto fabric with heat and peeled. Works on nearly all fabrics, no
weeding, no setup costs or minimums. Beats vinyl on detail and multi-colour; beats screen print
on small runs; screen wins big single-design runs. Gang sheets exist because DTF is priced by
area: 540 x 1000mm holds 30-40 left-chest logos. Pressed right, 50+ washes.
